These Smartwool Women’s Hide And Seek No Show Socks are one of the best options as far as sweat-wicking no-show designs go. They work well to wick the sweat from your feet and to help prevent odor. The only issue is that they aren’t fully no-show as the top runs a little high, so they may not be the best option for every shoe style. As far as the sock itself, it is quite a thick fabric that has internal gel grippers that will help them stay put, which can be a big issue with no-show styles. They are a super soft merino wool blend that will keep your feet sweat-free and not add any extra bulk. They are thick enough to keep your feet warm but not sweaty, and shouldn’t make your shoes feel tight. They also maintain their shape very well after washing.

How to find products that won’t make your feet sweat

Avoid 100% cotton– Cotton is very comfortable but isn’t the best option if you are trying to avoid getting sweaty feet. The problem is that the moisture absorbed by the cotton won’t evaporate and stays in the fabric, making them feel wet and uncomfortable.

Change your socks every day- I would think this is relatively obvious advice, but apparently, some people re-wear socks without washing them.  Washing your clothes is especially important if your feet sweat a lot or you are dealing with foot odor.

Look for Moisture Wicking fabrics– There are lots of high-tech moisture-wicking fabrics available these days. Look for styles that specifically say moisture wicking. These types of materials will draw the moisture away from your skin and release it into the air, so it isn’t trapped against your skin for extended periods. Type of materials to look for included Wool, Merino wool, Coolmax, and Drymax.

Only wear styles that are appropriate for what you are doing– One of the best ways to avoid your feet overheating is wearing the right type of fabric for the activity you are doing. Don’t wear super thick wool designs in the summer or nonbreathable fabrics when you are working out. You may not even realize that the material you are wearing isn’t the best option for the type of activity you are doing. If you find your feet getting sweaty, take a look at the sock you are wearing and figure out if you have better options available that will keep you more comfortable.
